The MC 210 CS is a media converter, which is designed to, 1000BASE-LX/LH-fiber media in 1000Base-T-copper media or vice versa to convert. The MC 210 CS has been developed according to the IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T standard and the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX/LH standard designed and approved for use with single-mode fiber-optic cable and the SC-plug. The MC 210 CS supports the long-wave (LX) Laser Specification when a transfer rate, which is the full bandwidth. It works in 1310 nm both sending and receiving data.
Further properties of the module are: the possibility of the device as an independent device (there is no housing required) or with the 19-inch system housing from TP-LINK to use auto-MDI/MDIX for the transmission port and status LED on the front side. The MC 210 CS in fiber-optic sends long distance mode with the help of the single-mode fiber cable up to a distance of 15 km away.
